I know it's a tough call mate. Been there and done it myself this year in fact.
What you have to remember though, is that most folks wont admit they should have bought a different rig etc. Takes a big man to admit he goofed up doesn't it? Especially in a public arena like this one.
Look at the dealer network around your area. Look at what is most important to YOU (ease of aftermarket parts, interior room, available engines, and so on).
IMHO, both can be good looking rides, that ride well and present a good image. The 4900 EX factory spec'd right, looks better off the bat, but the W9 does have a ton of aftermarket support. I cant think of a single thing I would want to add to my truck to make it look better, it already has everything! I wanted the normal high top 82" Stratosphere, with a single bunk and all the cabinets I could get. We lucked out and found a brand new 2009 on the dealers lot for $82k and my old Freightliner. We had looked at used ones for not a lot less than this one was!

Whatever YOU decide, do what is right for YOU. Look for interior pictures of the models you are considering, and pick what will work best for YOU. Others have posted about the dinette option, and the full high roof. Not for me, but works for others obviously. I never take anyone along except my dog, and at times the wife, so 2 beds are useless to me. I haul oversize loads and not a van type trailer, so the mid high roof I have is the one I wanted, so on and so forth.
Best of luck and keep us posted!

Not a problem at all mate.
Feel free to shoot me a message etc if you need to discuss the massive options list they offer. I also may still have some links from trucks that we considered.

Hey brother, I have 3.5 yrs left at my current job to draw a reasonable pension . Becoming a otr o/o has always been a dream. O/O is no question my number one objective. I understand the steps that has to be taken to get there, getting my cld, signing on with the starter companies for a yr...Brother Martin I'm putting away for a truck now, so when that time comes, I'll pay cash for one or a large down payment, keeping note,s under or around a grand....What do you think? Bless me with your wisdom...After my training, my goal is Landstar, because the freedom to go and come as you please...Brother Martin, I'm not trying to get rich, supplementing my income, with a labor of love.

    Brother Martin...:biggrin_25519:
I wouldn't do Landstar myself, but that is as much as a personal choice as is the truck you buy.
A note of around $1k a month makes it easy to make a living in my experience. All depends on freight rates and so on.
    Keep us posted mate!
