If you would would read and respond to what he said instead of some preconceived notion you would appear more intelligent. His claim was that he made more than he ever made before not more than you or other company drivers make.
Lease purchase is not for everybody but it does have its merits. I have been with JCT for 6.5 years and have been extremely successful here.
I feel for the OP who started this thread and have seen that story play out so many times in the LP arena. There are a few companies that truly put the operator in a position to pay off a rig. JCT happens to be one of them. It sounds like USX is not.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. My advice save 5k go to Dalles tx and buy a truck off the lot. If your credit is real bad save a little more. They go more so off of your experience. Remember all companies are after
Profit. I have my own authority now and I lease on drivers all the time who have had the l/p experience and I have seen grown men cry because they can now feed their family, and see their family on a regular basis. O/o dream is not
Dead but the game has changed. Do your research study it and pay your taxes and you can be very successful. One last
Piece of advice. A 20k truck well maintained can make just as much as a 200k truck.ill shut up now and good luck to all truck drivers. .Last edited by a moderator: Dec 1, 2013

Thats correct. I also have a good friend working for them right now. He lives in Norfh Carolina he aaked if they had any east coast runs. They told him they do but he can't run that way because they have other drivers there who just run east. Now you may say thats nothing. Same driver has a kw with jct bearly getting 6mpg he was told no problem you can exchange trucks. That was a year ago. White guy another good friend of mine also at jct currently. Has been able to change trucks multiple times. One more example the black friend has not been home in 3 months. Im currently helping him buy a truck. And yes I also l/p with them and my experience was iust as bad. It is set up to be a very good company but just not for us. Which is ok I guess because im very successful getting the drivers who couldn't survive the l/p and I dont care if your purple your family has to eat and the man of the house should be able to see his kids grow up. Families dont have to suffer. And as a truck driver no matter what your told or how your treated you should remember you are a professional and you should be treated as such.

Drivers have choices. They should never put up with company abuse. Not being home in 3 months should be unacceptable to your friend. He should have got the F out of there after the first month.
dadddymills and spectacle13 Thank this. -
Your right Truck d.. My question is what kind of dispatcher doesn't even see a red flag and make sure he gets home od even ask. If one of my dispatchers have a driver out that long and its not the drivers choice "fired"!!
TruckDuo Thanks this. -

Everyone look at the title of the thread. It says USXpress. Please stay on topic or start your own thread. We don't need comments that are going to turn into a moderation nightmare. This is an informative forum and not what stink we can stir up unrelated to trucking.

When will people learn that leasing a truck is simply bad business. YOUR ARE NOT AN OWNER OPERATOR BUT SIMPLY A COMPANY DRIVER PAYING FOR THE PRIVILEGE. When will you realize that these companies make more out of you leasing (the correct word should be 'renting' ) than they do from hauling what's in the box. The reason why they can pull stuff for 1.25 a mile is because your paying 500 a week for a truck that isn't worth third of that. Then add all the other 'got ya' fees into the mix and suddenly you see just how profitable it is for THEM to lease you a truck. The companies play on people's ignorance and so many fall into the trap. There is no easy button to becoming an OO. You have to save some money and buy your own truck. Then you have to learn how to run a business. If your are useless at math then I suggest you stay a co driver, as you are certain to fail as an OO. Why do you think 85% of new OO fail in the first year?. If was as easy as just turning the key and running down the road we would all be millionaires.
