Anyone had a problem with your TK APU user interface when there is no power to it?
I just tried to press ON button, but there is no power, I will check the fuses tomorrow, and see, since I am at the truck stop and its snowing
If anyone already encountered this problem, what have you done to it to get it to work! And maybe u know already which fuse is to be replaced!
Thanks!
Another Thermo king APU question!

I've worked on several APU's with this problem and for me its always turned out to be either a main power wire on the APU alternator corroded off, or the fuse holder for the big 50amp fuse thats tucked up in the back of the APU above the alternator will get corroded up to the point where it loses contact.

Yes has been the same for me. Also they have a lubricant you can get to help reduce the corrosion it us inexpensive and does helpTuzla075 Thanks this.

My previous TK APU problems, including the interface, were because of the single earth connection at the bottom of the APU. It corroded from the salt on the roads and caused a myriad of issues. I had all the terminals on the earth wires replaced, soldered up and I added a plastic coating to prevent future issues.
On a different occasion I had to replace the fuse, wire and terminal between the under-bunk control box and the battery. It was corroded too.Tuzla075 Thanks this. -
Just wanted to make sure if this is that main fuse that everybody is talking about!? You can check these pics out! I tried to get to the alternator but my APU is installed under the passenger side and there is really no space to work around!
