That is right guys two different dealers told me $5,000.00 for a muffler. I have a 2007 freightliner columbia with a C15 acert. I have dual mufflers that is over $10k in just mufflers, that is crazyyyy. Does this sound right? I thought I had 2006 engine in it.
$5k plus for a muffler o_0

Are you talking dpfs or what ? If not I'd check into after market or strait pipes. Or even go to single stock exhaust ......

I have a Columbia with c 13 and dual mufflers like you,my muffler was little more then $ 130 EACH ,from PP

Are you sure? Theres no way. But the good news is thats not true. They can be had for way, way, way cheaper. -
Those mufflers will have catalytic converters built into them.

I can't say that you have the same mufflers but I ran across something similar. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...lers/197451-06-freightliner-c-13-muffler.html
The first Donaldson I put on cracked at the top within a few months. They replaced it at no charge. The second one has had no issues. The diameter of the Donaldson is not the same. It is also just a regular muffler. -
Just buy the quiet performance mufflers from Pittsburgh power (or Donaldson equivalent) there like 150 a piece and may give you up to 50 more HP.

HeavyD is correct.that is why so expensive.
