Do not work for western express

Must have been those #### van drivers

 

Well after talking to another two trainers it looks like western will be losing three of there trainers after the first of the year. There is something seriously wrong here if three trainers are all quitting.

 

UPDATE

I finally got a call from someone locally that is willing to give me a job so I left on the 11th and I will be starting tomorrow or Tuesday. After 30 days on the trainer truck I found out my trainer didn't do 90% of his job and that log book he was suppose to be helping me with weekly recaps had to be done from day one off of qualcom logs. This company is quite possibly one of the worst companies in the country to work for, they had a massive back log of van drivers waiting up to two weeks or more to get a new truck. The person that did my road test through me under the bus by having me go through suburbia and letting the other two persons go on and off of highway on ramps. After talking with another trainer at the company he said the majority of the trainers don't give a turd about the trainees there just after the mileage.

 

There are other companies that will take people like me and pay over $300 a week for training. All insurance companies say they require two years experience but they don't say how your supposed to get it. I was trying to use this company to get myself the experience but when drivers are telling me they had been sitting on the yard for over a week drawing $35 per day for break down pay it's yet another sign to run. Western express is worse than people online say it is and I couldn't put into words how bad it is. I have made more in three days at home than I did working for western for a full 70hr week, I'm happy if I can make $350 a week and be in my own bed. I had to live with a guy for thirty days that was a few cards short of a full deck and focused on pumping out miles to inflate his wallet. The trainer was supposed to perform twenty backing maneuvers per week with me and I may have gotten six in thirty days, when I did finally get my training log I found that it was 90% incomplete and he might have done ten days in it.

 

I had left western last week and I have been doing things on my to do list before I start driving a dump truck on Thursday.
