Crete pays .40 CPM for new drivers (or around there) but they only hire from "approved schools" Give them a call at 800-998-2221 to see if you graduated from an approved school. Werner will hire anyone and pay you next to nothing for the privilege, same with Swift. But as with all new truck drivers remember what SWIFT stands for: Stop Whining Its ###### Temporary.
Thanks

34 CPM dry van, 35 Reefer. Rate stays the same the whole first year, then raises after 1 year depending on what division you're in. Unless they changed their pay in the last month, lol.Last edited by a moderator: Sep 21, 2013

Transport America starts out at .35 w/o hazmat, .36 with. If you pull a hazmat load, you get an extra .04 cpm for .40 cpm and raises every 6 moths. They are very safety oriented and I ran 120,000 my first year. I'm not with them anymore, got my experience and moved on. Was a great place to start!

Melton pays .33 cents for cdl grads as long as u qualify (pre hire) list which is on there website. They have excellent equipment and are a good company to run for. since its winter the flatbed freight tends to slow down but we all cant be doctors so we became truckers.
