TRUCK DISCOUNT MART?? any info urgent

Percentage is better but invoking your right to see the BOL can get you kicked out of the company.
Until percentage is law we driver don't have not much else to chose from.
However I will say this and this is not to butter anyone's bread, FX don't play that short miles per load game so they are really close to a percentage system in terms of getting us paid.
They will work the h*ll out ya if they wanna!

 

Hey guys here's another update to the Truck Mart saga... The repairman came back with several quotes and along with his cost for labor it will be in the neighborhood of 5 grand and well these guys are nice at FX but they ain't that nice and well the only other chance I have left is they will help me to get another rig and I will update as soon as possible when the nightmare show ends.
To paraphrase what I said before if were anyone who was in search of a truck I'd stay away from Truck Mart or else you may wind up like me.
This is in fact a true to life story of a man with a dream of owning his own little truck and wanting to do things his way while enjoying more freedom and due to the truck issues that came with the truck my dream turned into a nightmare of mammoth proportions that I would not wish upon a mangee old dog let alone a human being.
I have been in the truck with an electrical cord running into the door with my little electric heater for warmth and I have not had a bath other than a wet rag since the 14th.
I cannot say anything else too many tears are welling up inside my eyes...
I did not do anything wrong to these people at Truck Mart... Absolutely Nothing!!!
May their souls burn in hell...

 

OK here is the end of the drama show with the truck I bought from Truck Mart... The folks at FX after much deliberation have decided NOT TO LOAN ME THE MONEY towards a down payment for a newer rig. Instead they hooked me up with an owner operator who will pay me .35 per mile.
After I have driven for them non stop since April 15 2013??? That's right since April I have driven for them non stop since April 15 and I have been on their lot sitting in a truck and going back and forth on an issue that I really believe they had made their minds up in the first place.
Now to their credit they have helped me many many times before and I thank the heavens for all their help but when I ask for a loan that would put a final stop to the issues they refused??? That messed my head up so bad I cannot find the words to express it.
I once spoke to an owner op about the things FX did for him and he told me that they loaned him 6-7 thousand dollars to rebuild his motor? I run for these guys 7 months 2 maybe 3 days of home time still 1500 in the hole I am treated like a suspect or a child???
I will never be loyal to another trucking company ever!!!
They will get business and only business language no laughter no jokes no how's the family nothing but a stone cold face and or attitude!
Strickly business and I urge all of you to do the same.
No one is your friend no matter how much freight you move no matter how much you may be on time no matter how loyal you are!
You and or your equipment means nothing to the people in this industry
I will help this guy for a short time and to pay down my business debt to this entity and then I'm 86!!!
I know many of you and including myself have expressed a lothing against lease purchase but I'm going for it as soon as possible and yes I can learn to drive slower and watch the freight lanes etc etc as much as possible.
I cannot stand being a company driver and I really don't care if its one truck or a thousand I do not like it at all!!!

My take on the trucking industry is as follows... If they smell blood in the water they will come, no matter how minuscule no matter how far the blood is the sharks will find you.

Allow me to say this and I will go to bed as I am very tired from prepping my tuck to leave it after I bargain with a few crows the finance company can have the carcass and feast on the bones.

FX is a great place to work for IF you have a brand new truck if you fall due to mechanical problems you may wind up as a company driver or trying to find a way home on your own.

Even though they run the areas I like I don't think I'm coming back. I'm going to look to the mega carriers for my next position they are in a position to help owners ops when the snit hits the fan.
And to tell the truth I don't like mega companies due to the powerful lobbyist they send to DC but I gotta do something to keep a roof over my head And bills paid without the worry of what's gonna happen next.

I called a dealer in Mississippi it may be the same one that says they have ultra low down payment easy finance. I may give Celedon a try if what my buddy says is true. They say and I will check into it deeper that the drivers are happy with the program. I don't know I'm getting ready to just hang up the keys and go apply for SSD and go fishing. To hell with the industry and to hell with congress for allowing it to get this bad.
I called my congress woman today and I couldn't hold it back he tears just flowed from my eyes and my voice went up a few octaves and the secretary hung up.
I tried to hold it back and so tomorrow I will make a formal apology that was very uncool to do.
Its different when you talk to drivers who are going through it somehow its
so didifferent but when it happens to you its a whole different ballgame.
I will continue to fight and now this has raised the stakes BIG TIME!!!
I now have a ride home after all this time I can take a bath and eat real food BUT one things for sure I will take this to a whole new level so that no one will ever face this situation as I did!!!
You trucking companies that turn your backs on us drivers are in for a real rude awakening a sleeping giant has just gotten out of bed!!!
This ain't over yet!!!

bud, the real truth is, if you were running at a place where you couldn't make enough to put back for repair issues you were at the wrong place.

that's the tough thing about owning a truck, you are the one on the hook for repairs
