Webasto or Espar?

    Not that is much money, but, you dont need to pay fuel tax on heater fuel, so reefer fuel or kero would save tax if you have another tank.

    i would do 50/50 to keep the fuel pump lubricated..the kero will burn, but not sure how good it is for the pump.

    The freightliners use a seperate switch from the oem. Unless the truck is equipped with parksmart. The oem controll turns on the bunk heater, which is a coolant heater

    Im not buying the coolant one...I just bought the wabasco air one of fleabay. The price was only 900 which makes me worry it fell off a truck. Hopefully its ledgit.

    I have Webasto on my dad's Kenworth T600. He saved a lot of fuel from idling nightime in frac well.

    I have the Espar, you could roast your chestnuts with it. It puts the heat out that's for sure. Well that was till it quit on me last week.

    So long as your confident and have some basic knowledge yes you can install yourself. Just run a full from a tank. Then install switch on bunk. Then run power to sidebar and cut a hole for exhaust pipe. That's all for air heater. With a water heater style just need to tap on waterline under bunk for bunk heater core. Few hours work to save some money. Good luck.
