Not all the rooms have fridges (One did and one didn't, probably a gift to an instructor from a new student) but both the rooms I was in did have an ironing board, iron and a one cup coffee pot with coffee (Pretty good too) sugar, stirrers and powder creamer...............oh and they do have an Ice machine on every floor.

 

Have had 4 different rooms. All had fridges & coffee pots.

 

There's a cafeteria at the Campus Inn... you'll be eating meals there. The coffee is free.

 

I've got one of them fancy Keurig coffee machines, the only coffee I've ever had has come through that machine. I've been drinking coffee for almost a month now. I did try Chic-Fil-A's coffee once, it tasted more like hot water than anything.

 

Heh, your going to take it with you at some point I hope. Truckstop coffee is quite sad.

 

Hell yeah son, i'd drive there on three wheels before I'd forget that thing. I've heard Flying J coffee is okay, but... I'm not ready to try my luck.

 

If you come in for orientation and get a room with a fridge, count yourself lucky and your room assignment was an overflow issue.

Orientation rooms are pretty basic. Fridge rooms are for "paying" customer employees and drivers already employed and back for upgrades, repairs, or other classes.

 

I've heard even as a student it's possible to pay for an upgrade (IE single room)

know anything about that? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but if I could choose to not room with one of those "well I'm not sure if I'll pass the drug test, and I had four felony grand larceny charges two years ago, but I swear I'm clean now" types, I would.

 

I'm heading to Salt Lake City on the 6. Dose anyone know if there is a shortage of flatbed trainers out of there. I only need 15k miles do to never running flatbed before but I don't want to get stuck running reefer and get stuck in dodge city or something for 3 days waiting on a load.

 

"Those types" don't get asked to come to orientation at Prime.
