Yo Koncrete...where is Ozark's home office? I'm the left coast.

For anyone that is interested...I just called Ozark. I was told they do not hire anyone out of the Southern Calif area.

666, your advice was already my plan/strategy. I am still in training at a community college but once i test out i am ready to work (apply myself in any way possible) once i get my experience if i am with a good company i will stay if not well off i go to another.

Well SoCalDude I got- Music Please - I got a one way ticket to Ride -( some heavy metal band ) to Nashville Tn for the Western Express Refresher course leaveing to darn soon 1/04/2014 for orientation on 1/06/2014.
Just in time I might add - the company that I was a contract driver for called this am and told me they were pulling the plug on my route ( oweing me $2800.00 ) LOL!! -
Congrats to you! I take it that's a "bus" ticket from Co to Tenn. Did you happen to ask if you get a bus ride home if (for whatever reason), you are "dismissed" from training? Let us know how it goes for you. And GOOD LUCK!! -
yea- they said they would give me a ride back - but I have a car in the south that I need to get out here so no bag. lol!

Cool. I spoke to them on the phone. Recruiter told me they would give me an "evaluation". I guess that's some kind of road-test. He said that I might need to go with a trainer for just a week! That would be cool. And another thing I like is that they have a terminal and orientation in Fontana, Ca. That's about a 40 minute drive from home. I think a week would be good. Personally I need training/instruction with "trip planning" and going OTR in general. My driving skills aren't that bad (passed a road-test for another company about 3 weeks ago). Fortunately, or un-fortunately I've never been OTR. Been driving local for Mom & Pop shops.
