Oh goodness dude. I had to deliver in Bakersfield, CA this morning. Last time I was there. Some lot lizard opened my door and took my wallet. But left it on the running board when she seen it was only a dollar in there. The dollar was gone but the debit cards and everything else was in there. The business is right next to the truck stop. This time I parked on the street and only had 2 lot lizards knock on the door. 1 was kinda cute. The other I couldn't see too good she had already walked away when I got up. I did a 34 hr reset on the side of the street in Farmers branch Texas this past week. Did google and see there was a Mickey's D's and some other food places in walking distance. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of looking for a A+ rated truck stop you have to utilize your time wisely so you can.

TRUCK TRUCK TRUCK IT UP. yeeeeee hawwww.

    Lux Prometheus Thanks this.

Most truckers don't shower for weeks. That seems to be the best defense!

a 6-8ft long chain is a great equalizer for some punk trying to get after you. Starting swinging that ###### and he won't get near you. If he does make sure you're swinging at the level of his head

Did you not lock your door, or are lizards just that crafty?

I think I forgot to lock it. I normally don't lock it. I did last night though. I actually keep a hammer by the door, and she had the hammer in her hand for I guess to use if I woke up but she just dropped it once she seen the wallet and heard me yell like a banche. I did loose a few super trucker points for yelling like a lil uhhhhh but. I was caught off guard. So beware those things that are being said can be used on attackers can also be used on you.

I use my Springfield XDs .45 I figure the response time of the police is around ten minutes at best. The response time of a .45 caliber bullet is about 950 feet per second.

P.S I don't carry the hammer for self defense. I carry it to break seals. I have good insurance I'm worth more dead then alive so if somebody wants something they can have it, and if they do me a favor by taking my life. Just take me out quickly :)

I don't like the exit, and get on ramp for the loves in Tulare. I try not to stop there. If the receiver wasn't right next to the truck stop. I probably could of went to the J. I haven't been there in a long time. Not sure if they have a lot lizard problem, but the ones on 58 has always had problems.

stun gun or stun baton. you can find them on amazon.com for cheap with enough voltage to knock a person out.

a buck knife. an aluminum baseball bat. a nightstick.

or you can carry anyways. just keep it to yourself and dont tell anyone. and dont leave it around for gods sake where a manager or mechanic can see/find it. a good inside the waistband (IWB) holster and a long, loose shirt will conceal it nicely and no one will ever know or be the wiser. crossbreed supertuck is a pretty good holster.
