Yep that is true.
-
and one wonders if the daughters take after mom
where be the kingPanhandle flash Thanks this. -
-
Well ......they might take after me just a little bit!

The King is sitting about 15 miles away trying to deliver 1,700 boxes of hot cocoa .....and they are turning him away, won't even let him park, because they don't want to unload it a few hours early. They want him to come back early in the morning .....during the blizzard .....they might be ready for a cuppa hot cocoa by then. The King is not amused either!
How are you, Pete? Are you in all of this mess? Or are you in LA? -
nephi Utah right now I80 was a mess only 2 inches of snow but packed and icy
couldn't see any lines on the road for 50 miles either side of Laramie
wont leave ca until wed
can he get the whole rig onto your property?
once he is empty?
I would be thinking come home let them wait until Tuesday
world wont end over instant swiss miss -
Unfortunately we have a gate out at the highway that he wouldn't be able to get the trailer through. He is sitting down at Hood's truck stop ....babysitting the Swiss Miss, you were right that is exactly what it is!
I am wide awake and have been watching the temps drop, the steady rain is now turning to a nasty mix of precip. He called them this morning and they told him if he was there before 1:00 they would take it, he was there by 12:15 but they had changed their mind. He called them this evening after they changed the forecast and asked them could he park in their drive for the night .....they have a long private drive leading up to the gate and the guard shack..... they said no. No consideration for the driver doing his best to make sure they have their product on time..... such is the reality of being a driver. He may end up sitting on that stuff a couple of days .....15 miles from home.
I saw some reports this evening saying how bad it was on I 80. Take care and safe travels .... -
so you go get him from Hood's when he comes home?

Interesting thing about chains... When I questioned one of the dispatchers, I was told we would never need chains. Apparently, not all dispatchers are aware of state regulations/laws on chain requirements. To top it off, I was later told it was the driver's responsibility to bear the cost of the chains. No matter if you are a company driver or you lease... these are still TA's trucks.HometimeQueen Thanks this.
