I'm highly considering to move to Honolulu Hi. I have a buddy that moved there 3 years ago and is having a time of his life, he keeps begging me to move there and try the Hawaii life for at least a year. I would like to find some info on a few driving jobs in Hawaii but I'm getting very little info on driving in Honolulu. Is there anyone know anything about trucking in Honolulu?
Thanks!

Very congested
Very overpopulated
Nice place to visit
Horrible place to live
Been twice in my lifetime.
Great to the tourist.
Good luck

Yeah I've been 3 times going for number 4 in April. It's a pain to live, traffic, and a lot of people...but it's so much fun!

Might give Conway freight a shot in honolulu
I know I've taken enough loads to the bnsf railyard in Chicago from Ottawa or some crap run that they stay pretty busy. (Snoop through all the bills) -
Don't injure your neck trying to get a glimpse of hot Native girls in hula skirts .....
Sometimes they gather in groups and dance to the Hawaii Five O theme song in the streets -
Keep in mind, Hawaii has the lowest standard of living out of all of the state's, and lower than many territories.
It cost a fortune to live there and the pay scale for the labor classes are very low compared to mainland. -
and you got this info where?
I only lived there for 25 years and my oldest son still lives there. TRUE, traffic totally sucks, the whole island of O'ahu is only 20x40 miles, it's horribly expensive... but.. I miss my friends, the food and the "island style" of living. You don't actually "need" lots of stuff to be happy anywhere. Housing is very expensive. a/c is nice to have, I just kept the windows open. We also lived on the poor end of the island, but no hoa's where I lived.
Also lots of homeless due to drugs and low pay.
Driving truck? cement, gravel, etc. Some jobs are union. Also dock and shipping.
Good luck. In spite of all it"s faults, I miss Hawaii.
Especially when my friends grumble aboug how cold 70f is.....

If your buddy can get you a gig paying at least $25/hour, I'd go for it. Living in paradise doesn't make up for being broke and living hand-to-mouth and never banking any cash.
