Well thank's for the advise oilfracker , but iv'e been doing a little more indepth research , looks like i'll probably never work in alberta , there are so many requirement's and by laws for American's working up there if you aren't an engineer or project manager it'll never happen . it's a shame I really wanted to see that part of the world , I really enjoy seeing the remote wilderness , anyway i'll probably head for Montana or Wyoming or just stay here , i'm really tired of the desert been here for six years. maybe i'll be called off to ceria soon . thank's for the help from everybody , keep pumping that crude , makes us less dependent on the middle east. Don't want to give these people anymore than we have to.

Well that sucks. I would like to know how all these Aussie and Kiwis, and Russians and other drivers from foreign nations are doing it.
Lately, on the two way radios it seems, I hear tons of foreign accents. And I can tell by what they are doing or saying, or where they are working that they are definitely hauling tankers, or vacs or hauling equipment. By no means an engineer or project manager.

Kind of actually freaks me out when I hear a middle eastern accent calling out km's and you can't see 2 ft in front of your face because of blinding snow. You know that guy is NOT going to move over when you meet on the same road

Well good luck. Go to Montana.....or Wyoming.....I wouldn't recommend Syria :what:

Appreciate the reply , I kinda figured that there was a way to get a job there , if u know the right tricks , maybe its just because I come from the us and i'm looking at the NAFTA rules these other countries aren't subject to NAFTA especially Australia , you cant go there unless you are under 50 yers old and receive a visa in advance. well i'll keep looking it's what I really want most to do . maybe someone will key me in on a couple of tricks though i'm sure they don't want to say it strait out on the internet maybe they can give me a starting place. Meanwhile yall keep up the good work up there , don't forget to look out for each other, the western world needs all the energy we can produce , makes us less dependent on the middle eastern countrie's

Hi there TruthaMucka ... Great Name, Game and pic on your profile... by the way. I was wondering if I could ask you a question about the oilpatch. What sort of need is there in this industry for someone with experience operating tri-axle dump trucks and ready-mix trucks? Any help you can give to this regard would be greatly appreciated.

My gf just got a job with bill birch oilfield services in grand prairie alberta. She lives in bc, and will work 21 on 10 off. She isn't exactly sure what she will be doing other than driving truck.

Thank You Gypsewoman! I appreciate the info. I assume she will be operating a DZ or Class 3 truck. Did she already have the certifications under her belt? (OSSA, HS2, CSTS) and the like?

Yes, she just got all her certificates within the last month or so. I think if she needs anything else they will train.

I don't know if Sanjel is hiring foreign workers or not, but my gf went from billbirtch over to sanjel. It might be worth a try to see if they are hiring there. She really likes the company and has been there for several months now. The drives nitrogen tanker, either a quad or tri axle, not sure which, but the safety training is excellent.
