After sitting here for 28 hrs looks like at least 12 more. Effingham trucks stops have no fuel or food with double the trucks parked so no one could leave if they tried. Watched trucks sit for hours on the off ramps, bridge and streets around here trying to find parking. Some sat 13 hours on 57/70 just to sit many more on the roads around town. Roads all ice, same as yesterday. Maybe tomorrow...

 

Yeah, just read some were escorted to a church parking lot over there.

 

FSU FTW as stated before. I never want to be in this type of cold ever again. Walk back to the truck was brutal. Auto start keeping truck toasty. FJ drivers lounge freezing but well worth it

 

As long as the subject is on ice, snow and cold, how are the super singles in these current conditions?

 

I don't like them. I went through Chicago 3 times last Thursday in a snow storm and I felt that they broke traction way too easily. Had to take ramps extra slow. First ramp I was on I could feel the drives sliding with a light load and only going 20 MPH.

 

Currently stuck in Memphis Indiana at the pilot. 65 was closed in Columbus. Around xt 76. Heard it recently opened, but for essential and emergency, and will be reevaluated at sunset and re closed if needed. I'm not testing it.

Still shut down at home, was to go out Monday at 6am. Stayed home, on account was too dangerous to head out.

Never asked for Snow Pay before, how do you do that? Is it like Lay Over on the trip sheet?

 

Yeah north of Indy still messed. Hopefully get through tomorrow.
