If you want the Opti Idle to run the truck continuously, set temp to 62 cool, then on the temp control knob turn the heat up... It will never 'cool' to 62 so keep the truck running... It works the other way around too for summer.

The new freightliner I am in now has the opti idle. Set shifter to high range and set the cruise as mentioned before and it will go into high idle when the auto shutdown timer runs out. That is it goes into high idle INSTEAD of shutting down. To prevent repeated shutdowns and restarts during the night, I set the thermostat to cool, then set climate controls to heat. Since it never gets down to the cool temp setting, it just runs all night.

Yeah, What Lady K says.Lady K Thanks this. -
When I was there at your anniversary they would pay you an extra weeks pay (based on annual average) at your 1 year mark.

Seen my first CRS truck w/o Utah tag today.

How many miles does a l/o need to clear to start making money each week.

Yeah. Everyone who's renewing will be getting an indiana plate more than likely. I renewed mine 2 weeks before they switched over.

Are they switching the trucks over to be licensed out of Indiana now, since Swift bought them out

I'm typically not one to gripe and grumble to much but I do believe I'm going to start seeking other employment! I'm really not liking how this swift transition is going. All I've seen so far has been over crowded crappy terminals, to much micro mngt and all take from the drivers and no give. I'll leave it at that. It's been real people but I'm out of here, see y'all in the funny papers..
Ice..passion4polishing, BigMuthaTrucka, Lady K and 1 other person Thank this. -
I feel ya. I've yet to see any benefits from the transition, and way to many negatives. I think we all saw this coming from the moment the announcement came out.
As an aside, is anyone else noticing longer than usual waits for fuel lately? I don't think I've gotten out of a place in less than 20 minutes all week.Arkansas Frost Thanks this. -
I don't want to sound like a idiot, but I'd like to ask what a Jurisdictional test is. It's one of the test I'll have to take during school. Hope someone may be able to answer my dumb question.
