here it is...the very elusive very specific piece of info I wish I'd known of years ago
http://www.saplist.com/resources/return_to_duty_process/what_is_a_dot_violation.php
". The employee with any one of these violations must be immediately removed from safety-sensitive functions, including driving, and cannot return to safety-sensitive duty until and unless he/she successfully completes a SAP return-to-duty process."

You tell me if this makes any sense; I am Mr.Company that you are looking to get a job with, you fill out app., an i look at it. What do i see, oh he failed a drug test, think your getting any further than that?. But for arguments sake, disregard all that, again I am Mr.Company, i have your app. in one hand, and in the other hand i have what?, Nothing, Na-Da, Zip. What do you think you should be able to put in that hand to help your cause, are you getting it here, do i rely need to explain it or what i read some others here who gave you good advice should do. I"m going easy on you, because what i read into what your saying is with that two year crap you wanting it to go away instead of putting in the work, REALTY CHECK here, it is"t going anywhere as far as this industry, meaning D.O.T. FED regulated stuff goes. Just Sayin

No reality check needed joewispers. I am ready to do whatever I need and am admitting I made a mistake. I am simply trying to figure out what I need to do. It makes a lot more sense to me to just retest rather than put someone through a program for something as trivial as marijuana. In a few years it wont matter anyways because it is soon to be legal.
SheepDog Thanks this. -
soon to be legal maybe but a company could still choose not to hire and test for it just like companies can choose to have the same federal laws from alcohol or even stricter. My company has a 0 tolerance so even a tiny tiny amount tested could cost you....

That's a good point Wolfyinc. It really comes down to the companies discretion as I believe it should. I am not upset at my punishment or hold anything against anyone, I earned it on my own. I am trying to figure out what actions I can take, if any, to correct my problem.
