Hello All,
Is anybody familiar with what it takes to get a ministers permit to enter Canada? I have been driving thirteen years, have never failed a drug screen, never had an accident, never gotten a traffic ticket, have no CSA points, never been fired from a job or abandoned a load, or as I would say, I just do my job. 22 years ago when I was 19 years old I was convicted of narcotics felonies ( 2 counts possession with intent to distribute) . The only reason I listed out all the credentials is I've seen how some people get attacked here for some subjects. I don't do any drugs and take safety seriously, what I did back then I did. Was guilty admitted it and have changed my life. So please no beating me with a rubber hose telling me I should not have a CDL and I'm a horrible person . The only reason I am even looking into this is I found a company with a terrific benefits package but they can't touch me unless I have passport and can drive in Canada. Personally hope I don't get sent there but have to have it. Thanks for any help anybody can offer me, I'm off to do some googling on this right now but was hoping maybe somebody here has been through this and could over me some insight and advice. Everyone stay safe.
