I want a mentor

Were there people in your life growing up that influenced your passion for being a trucker? I am sorry to hear you got hurt playing college ball. I got to tell you, you will travel a lot driving truck, especially over the road but, you won't enjoy much. My dad always told me this and now I know what he meant. You will go through a lot of places that you wouldn't see other wise but, you will not get to enjoy them as much as you would want to. There are drivers that have worked a lot of years and have that special gig that affords them the ability to enjoy such places but, as a guy starting out, it won't happen. You do understand how the HOS work right?

Sheepdog - please explain your sig to me. Is that a unit in the military or something?

 

You said that you were planning on driving and then returning back to college to finish your degree.

Could you elaborate further on the timetable for that? May I ask what degree are you going for?

 

Tennessee Army National Guard unit in Monteagle, TN That is where I drilled on a monthly basis, deployed two times and made some great friends, for the 8 years I was enlisted. The picture you see is the day I got promoted to Sgt and was happy as all get out that I was able to fit in that uniform, that was made for me in basic training...lol
