Well what is really going on??? If we want this to work, we all have to be on the same page. We can't have various states striking at different times, nor do I think a day will really make a difference.

That's funny I run NORTH and I haven't heard that date. You see that's my point. Nobody has orginized this. We are hearing April others are hearing March. Once again the Truckers of the U.S.A. are not together on this. But I do have a solution.
    STOP HAULING CHEAP FREIGHT!!!
If the freight you are hauling doesn't have a fuel sircharge don't haul it. It's that simple. We all know the strike is not going to happen!!
Read the big red letters above!!!

A quarter of the drivers out there do not even speak english. We are too broad of spectrum of drivers today.
All day I hear people grumbling about fuel but everyone is passing like I was sitting still. If people are worried too much I think they might be slowing down a bit. Some driver's are even praising the high cost of fuel(Sirrius 147 Loading Dock 17 March 10:00am) Its hard times right now and I wish the best for all I just dont think that in today's trucking envrioment that a strike is possible.

Yes I do tell them want I want to pay! Do you pay want the dealer wants when you buy a car? I hope not. The same goes for the loads I haul. If they rate isn't what I want and if it doesn't have a fuel sircharge I don't haul it.

I was wondering when it was going to get bad enough that truckers started talking about a strike. I remember the strike of 93, i was on my way in from mexifornia on I-40 in Arkansas. I don't remember the exact date but i was running a day or 2 late of when the strike actually started. About 2AM someone dropped a pumpkin on the hood of the truck from an overpass, man what a wakeup call that was. I pulled over to clean the goo off my truck and sent a message over the quallcomm that there was a strike in effect and then told him what happened with the pumpkin. his message back to me was j.b. and schneider weren't honoring the strike so neither were they, i was working for digby truck lines back then, i don't know if they're even in business anymore. i just took the truck, load and all to their terminal in nashville and told them that they may not honor the strike but i sure as hell was. i wasn't about to get myself killed out on the road just because they were going lock in step with j.b. and schnieder. they fired me for it, but oh well, like one of the other posters said. if one does it everyone has to do it and at the same time for it to be effective. IT HAS TO BE ORGANIZED OR IT WON'T WORK!!!
