Ive got a solar charger on my car's dash. Got it back in May. So far the car starts up fine, every time but the first. First time I used the accessory plug. Since , I've used the battery clips and battery stays charged.
Started fine a few weeks ago after Christmas. So it's winter tested at this point.
got it at Orielly auto parts. They have them at Bass Pro in the marine section but were out when I was looking for mine.

Thanks Chucktaylor,
Picked up one for each battery @O'Riellys. Hoping to get started tomorrow afternoon. Gonna hook up a car to it & cross fingers it works. Batteries less than year old, so gonna be pissed if cold killed them.
Scheduled now to test on Thurs., so one more day to get more practice in. -
So you are testing on thu thats awesome we are on

i want to say it was 10% but can't remember for sure. I defiantly got a discount so you Might call ahead and ask how much.FullMetalJacket Thanks this. -
Posted this earlier, but didn't see a reply, FMJ?
I'm planning on starting first week of Feb.
Looks like it's been about 5 weeks from your first day till you test, is that correct?
Did you have a CDL Permit when you showed up?
If not, were you ready to test for the permit?
What costs have you incurred since training started?
Also someone asked about average weekly Flatbed miles, anyone know? I need to pick a major soon.
Thanks in advance. -

Ha ha....
We must have both been posting at same time!
I'm going reefer. Maybe someone else will answer flatbed questions.
Take care. -
All in all, pretty good day.
Ran into JimmyBones, then had chance to meet IP. Glad to finally meet IP & thank in person for all he contributed here, which really helped start this life changing experience for me. Still got a few others I hope to run into sooner or later for same.
Finally got the p/u truck started & batteries seem to be holding charge. Thanks Chucktaylor for suggestions. Thankfully don't think batteries need replacing, but the 2 big solar chargers (one for each) will likely hold me in good stead while out. Capital idea there. Gonna disconnect main cables and leave chargers clipped on while out.
Oh yeah, also trifecta'd today with only couple of points. So, finally official now. All that getting worked up......could have been perfect score if not for nerves. In end, doesn't matter. 0 points, or max points allowed. ...... same license. No difference at all.
Yeah..... guess it's been a pretty good day. -

Thank Highway101.
You've been a great help here, also.
CDL finally straight now. Washington bound in just a bit.
