    I'm 5'10" 225 lbs and I'm overweight. When I was at 200, I think I'm a "healthy or acceptable" overweight. At 225, I consider myself obese.

I dont see see how you could consider yourself healthy at 225. I would say you are ALOT more healthy than you were at 275 but I think you are still overweight. At 225, I'm probably a lot more mobile than most people that size. I was close to 270 when I moved to Texas and I was probably around 240 when I ran my first 5k.

I can't see how you can consider 5'10 225 healthy or in good shape.

Health should never go according to weight. What about pro wrestlers? They weigh in excess of 300 400 some 500. Are they obese? Hell no they aren't. Health should go by how active you are. Just cause a guy has a belly don't mean he isn't healthy. Just means he eats good.

Of course it isn't by weight alone. But if you are 225 and have a belly, that isn't what I consider good shape. If you need to tell yourself that to justify it, then do whatever you need to do to help you sleep at night.

I prefer to be honest with myself and others and call a spade a spade. I allowed myself to get lazy and overweight. I also decided that I want to live a better life so I made lifestyle changes. I've lost 15 pounds in the past 2 months and close to 50 in a year and a half.

I still eat steak regularly and drink way too much a couple times a week. But I added a lot more fruit and I've been eating soups with lots of vegetables. I limit my fast food to twice a week, once at work during the week and once on the weekend when I'm out with the family. The key is planning ahead and spending more money on fruits & veggies instead of the dollar menu.

How you live now with affect your future. That's why I like open deck work, it's more exercise than pulling a van. But if you eat take out twice a day, it likely won't matter.

Do you think Bayle would make a good investment to hire a lawyer to sue a company because he doesn't think he needs a sleep study. I'd bet money that he probably does need one considering he just weighed 270 a year ago.

Bayle has made some positive changes and went from weighing 270 to 225, why would you want to encourage your peers that big bellies are good?

Actually losing all that weight probably got rid of his apnea.

Yup!! Just like I was saying, healthy people look "lean" or "thin" , it's American society that has us thinking fat is healthy.

Lol! Good one! Only a truck driver would compare themselves to a pro wrestler!

It was just a example. Everyone bases health with your weight. I was just trying to point out that you can be healthy and still weight more than 160 pounds.

Probably true, but wouldn't it be great to get down to 160lbs, look in the mirror, and decide that you're TOO skinny.

If I was to get down to 160lbs (I'm currently 300) I would look like the walking dead. I think maybe 250 is good for my body type. No lower than 225. But I do new to get healthy. It's hard to be healthy as a trucker. No time to really do anything. I know people say "when you park for the day go for a walk". Yeah no. After working 14+ hours the very last thing I want to do is go for a walk. I pull tankers so we don't sit unless we are on our 10. So there is no "walk while getting loaded/unloaded" either because we have to watch the pumps at all times in case of a problem. I don't drink anything but water on the truck. I don't eat out. I eat out of a cooler.

You're not supposed to eat the cooler, lol. Just kidding. I'm bigger myself (220 and should be about 170) and the bummer is, the more out of shape you are, the harder it is to do anything about it. Nasty circle.

I'm a working on it though. Looking back a dozen years, staying fit would have been a whole lot smarter (and easier) than trying to get back to fit.

Yeah once you get so big is a struggle and almost painful to do anything strenuous. So you don't so you get bigger. It sucks.
