Very nice looking rig, now when are we gonna get those fancy new trailers, this live loading all the time is getting old...

 

Same here....went home Dec 23rd....back on the board on the 30th....they got pissed because I turned down a deadhead from NJ to Virginia.....

 

I was in PA this past week.....was told that because I am percentage, they will not pay tolls.....but if I was on miles, they would pay....

Does that sound a little funny to anyone else.....why pay for one and not the other ????

 

I had to live load only because when I got there they loaded my load on a Stevens trailer....had to wait for them to swing the load.....but get this.....I asked them if they could swing it on to the MT I brought in and save the yard jockeys some moves.....Of course they said no......they had me drop and the yard jockey bring another MT around......it was not their idea so they didn't do it !!!....still took about 5 hours....

 

I was there last week waitin on a load....15 1/2 hours.....so I bobtailed down to this Huddle house for some breakfast.....I did get $280 for detention....better than nothing...

 

supposedly 110 new ones by the end of March.....I like the side skirts and real glad they did not go with super singles......they will not have the stainless rear doors...they will have remote sensors for almost everything....they can start/stop, check the fuel level, can see when the door is opened, check temperature, monitor location, you name it.....

 

I like super singles, they make the trailer lighter... but they don't put fuel efficient tires on anyway, so it doesn't matter to me... The side skirts are a very good thing, I've been hooked to one of the 536 trailers with them since Christmas and I notice about .3 to .5 mpg increase,
