Anybody in the area stop by The Great American truck show in Dallas this week. Thursday through Satuday. Truck parking on site. I30 west to reservoir follow around to the right. Free tractor and tractor/trailer parking on site.

 

I've just heard back from JCT.

My application has been approved, tentative start date for orientation 1/27/14, just got to get my partner to confirm so we can start everything up on the same day and roll out together.

Thanks! I finished reading over this thread & it's predecessor (yes, all 900 pages, freakin' exhausting!)

JCT's lease program is far more business friendly than CRE's, so I am really looking forward to actually being able to see some money. I was in the red the first week I was in my Volvo 780 w/ CRE due to a breakdown and it took me 6 months to climb out because I had to run solo.

I've done my homework, and it's easy to see that what few whiners there are when it comes to JCT aren't serious about running a business.

In this industry, and especially as lease operators, you get what you put into it. If your primary consideration is home time or the various tourist traps we pass by, you're not going to last long. The opportunity here looks like an aspiring business owner's paradise compared to what I went through at Every New Guy Leaves After Ninety Days.

 

Sounds like you have done your research. Congrats on the move.

 

Just remember: The Christners are in business to make money to support their lavish lifestyle, not to ensure that you succeed....that's been made abundantly clear more than once there in Sapulpa....think I'm BSing? Go to the west end dispatch room and gaze at the Sistine chapel-sized mural of Johnny, Danny and Dave on bikes painted on the wall there....

Anybody that isn't won't last long. It's kinda stupid to demonize a company for maximizing their profits when that's the reason they're in business.

The only person you should expect to be looking out for you is you.

 

When that mural was first painted John used that space to show case a number of his custom and classic motorcycles. That came to an end when the bike began getting scratched.

 

I think you need a hug.

 

BTW - at the "Hotel", watch out for used needles/syringes in the bathroom and used condoms under the bed.....
