I was wondering about flatbed hauling. It's what I do. I hear a lot about water haulin but I've done that and don't care for it. Is anyone running flatbeds and making a buck?
ps.. I'm doing good where I'm at just curious about other slickback operators.![]()

Btw: I run Oilfield equipment. Forgot to mention that. Ha!

Can anyone give any input on what Texas oilfield companies with drivers that has a work schedule with a week maybe 2 weeks off rotation? I only know of one in texas, eagle one, with 5 days off every 21 days I believe.
-
The only time I've come across that schedule is with some fracking outfits, but I get the impression it's not very common these days. A 4/1 or 5/1 schedule seems to be the norm with water hauling outfits. I work a 5/2, Mon through Fri, but that's because I'm in a pump truck.
I'm surprised to hear that Eagle One uses that rotation, but it makes me think there might be a little hope for you in finding a few others. -
thanks for the reply Ben Gunn, have you heard anything about eagle 1 are they a good company to work for? just wondering I guess if you can make much bank with them or is it a company that caters more for rrecent grads and lower pay? .....or can anyone comment anything about them?

Eagle 1 used to run ads on Craigslist a lot. All over the country, not even anywhere even close to the regions the Oil Patches are in. The reason why ? They were trying to lure in folks that wouldn't realize just what a bad deal they were offering. They have slowed way down on their ads on CL. IIRC, there have been a few posts on here where some posters have confirmed that they misrepresent the hours and bonuses that will really be available. Let me see if I can find a link on here. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere.

I took the job with sun coast and I'm liking it. A drastic change from OTR, but I am getting used to it and the paychecks.
