Loaded here tonight by a really nice older lady. As I was signing in she said "OK you're getting 18 skids weighing about 7300 lbs total, how do you want them loaded?". I started laughing "Shoot I have to think about that I'll be so heavy!". She started laughing too. I was loaded bills in hand within half an hour.![]()

at an RR Donnelly? Don't think over gotten anything under 43k there. Good one man.tow614 and PackRatTDI Thank this.
-
Right! My company hauls a lot for them out of El Paso and all those loads are 40k and up.Bayle Thanks this.
-
Never got one from El Paso, but from plenty of other places, MN, WI, KY, I know other places. Always heavy.
-
Form and label loads are always heavy. Production cost and sales price drops significantly as quantity increases in that industry. For the same product... we could either run a 10 box job at $75 per... or a 1000 box job at $15 per.
In all my years doing that type of shipping / receiving work... we rarely shipped a full load under 40k. -
I always pulled RR Donnelly out of Wells, ME. Always 42,000+ lbs. How did you get so lucky to get 7300?
-
Not only that but was loaded in 1/2 an hour. That's a speed record for them. Lol
-
It wasn't the usual stuff that I've hauled for them. It was some sort of educational material.
Shocked me too. I was expecting at least a couple hours.Reycer Thanks this. -
Used to pick up at Willard, OH and loved it. Were always quick except for the one time where the loader completely screwed up and put 36,800 on my drive axle with the tandems all the way forward and had to reload it...
