I hate this business.
I've said it before and I will say it again. It is a poor career choice because in how many other jobs can you make one honest mistake and not only do you get fired, you are unemployable and not qualified to do anything with your experience except dispatch?Moosetek13, zincman and Chewy352 Thank this. -
Hate to hear that about letting you go. But you have the right attitude about coming back in a couple of years. Keep in touch with everyone. Sorry that you had to meet everyone on this site, so to speak, under these circumstances.

That's true.
Nursing, or anything in the medical field, is another that doesn't allow for mistakes.
I wasn't really aware of it when I started trucking.
Now, well, I'll drive until I make that mistake. Then I'll start something new. -

I was pretty sure I would lose my job and I honestly can't blame them, after all I cost them 100k +. It is kind of irritating though with the limited training they give and then expect no mistakes.
I was a state employee before and so I have reinstatement rights. Just waiting for them to conduct a new background investigation which is clean besides the accident but it wont keep me from going back.
All in all things are going to work out for the better. About 2 months ago we found out the wife was pregnant. Her and my step sons insurance is through her work which she will be quiting when the baby comes. When she told me I started thinking about going back because of job security, steady pay, and awesome benifits.
Truck driving was my dream and I was able to live it for awhile. It was like I didn't even work anymore I enjoy it that much. So I will be back when the time is right and I will choose losing a mirror over a truck next time.
A couple questions: How long before I do not have to disclose the roll over? How long does it stay on my MVR and CSA? -

A minimum of 5-7 years.
