Don't leave expensive stuff in your room. You will be headed home to transfer your CDL shortly after you get it... and you'll be able to get more of your stuff at that time.

I don't know how it is for the students but for me coming in at a class C I've had 2 roommates, having to wait for my trainer. Both my roommates have been L/O. One worked for the company for 3 years and the other 5. Both extremely nice guys and very helpful with my questions and concerns. Was not worried about any of my expensive accessories and they didn't seem to be either leaving laptops and bluetooths out. Maybe you'll luck out and get an awesome roomie like I did.

I won't be bringing anything worth stealing that can't be on my person. I will have my iPhone but that's about it. The rest will be my clothes and personal grooming material. If anyone stole any of my clothes I guess I would take it as a compliment, lol. Right before turning them in anyway.

Had a hectic day today! Paperwork, paperwork, physical, pee quiz, paperwork, and more paperwork. I don't think I've written my social security number and signed my name more in my life! It's been a really enjoyable experience through. I came with my permit already in hand (I can't recommend this enough!! My roommate and a few other guys I've talked to are studying to get theirs and I feel for 'em.) There is so much to take in that I would hate to have that weighing on me. I got all of my computer-based training done today. Only the guys with their permit were allowed to go in the sim lab today. The group size this time around is 92. Waiting in line for everything has been the way of life these first two days. The longer I'm here, the more pleased I am that I chose Prime. Thus far everything has been put together very professionally, nice people and a pleasant experience. I'm ready to get on the road! I'll update again tomorrow evening.

What Is the computer training for? CDL permit pre testing or other?

Reason I'm asking is when / if I pass physical, I'm ready for the written test. Been studying for months and want to accelerate that portion of the process.

The computer training is videos for rollover, hazmat, sexual harassment, etc. Basic company training videos.

I came here with my permit, so none of my training has to do with obtaining my permit.
