Oilfield logs

Some companies are, but most aren't making great money. Restricted mph and e logs suck for oilfield work. Especially if you looking to make the good money. I personally am running paper logs. Have people net in my truck but it's for printing tickets and corresponding with dispatch only.

Lol, that's the first time I've seen or heard of logs since I've been on the Bakken. The question should be, if you do logs how do you make any money?

 

you mark Off Duty Well Site for 12 hrs lol. or is that only a texas thing?

 

most companies in the bakken dont run any logs because they fall under the local area rule.....less than 100 miles from home base at least thats what i am told

 

the company I worked for ran e logs, we had a well that was 224 miles one way and they would send 2 drivers each getting paid by the hour to the site. I thought that was funny 448 mile round trip running teams. but in the company defence they didn't want guys getting stuck at the site because of break down or some problem where they couldn't unload and not have hours to return to yard.

 

For the short haul no logs to be valid, you also must return to your starting terminal within 12 hours.

 

I don't think the companies running without logs care about any of that. The 100 mile rule just makes it easier to break the law ...... until they get audited.

 

how would they know without a log?
