Pot holes the size of boulders. Or a building that makes me think I'm back in the 70's ! The truck stop in Blythe, Ca. still has the original "auto-truck stop" sign. Can you say "76" ? Or I love the ones that use to be a "Texaco" for instance, and the new owner, in order to save $$$$, changed the name to "Taxico". (just had to change 2 letters)
sevenmph and PackRatTDI Thank this. -
I once ate at the Blythe truck stop. The food wasn't bad but I couldn't help but feel that I was being watched by the loco locals.

This.
Did it just the other day with the Love's at the 114 on I10 in AZ. I was going to go in there, hit the restrooms, grab some "health food" and head out to Yuma. It was something like 2300 yet trucks were out of the fuel island and lined up in the road. I said "oh hell no" and got back on the freeway. -

Seeing too many trucks in the lot and waiting to fuel.....
(Its about like that everywhere now)
I try to go to a TRUCKSTOP..Not a TravelCenter.....
I have my select few in each state that i go to...And you generally dont see too many 53' white trailers engulfing the atmosphere...(Besides,Their companies wont allow them to fuel their anyway)TwinStickPeterbilt Thanks this. -
I agree with Mickey. I hate pulling in somewhere and seeing mega carriers flying through the lot, I've never had an accident and I Definetly don't need them working against me.
