I would be willing to bet this includes a daily per diem of $35.
Sun Coast is super busy in Midland and are recruiting drivers there now. They offer a 14 hr per day guarantee plus a per diem and a hotel room until you find a place of your own.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 19, 2014

Chibob Thanks this. -
Man! Wish I had things sorted here so I could take advantage of that!

i had no idea sun coast paid that well. what are their experience requirements? i have just shy of 2 years with tanker experience. i'm considering applying here and hiring someone else to haul pipe with my flatbed...
-
They require tanker/Hazmat and a CDL. I have seen some fairly new drivers hired so 2 years should be enough. Keep in mind that the 14 hour guarantee is only at the Midland yard because they need drivers there.sanook and Charm_City_Trucker Thank this.

cool, i've hauled acid for most of the past 2 years so i'm sure that would help... can someone tell me what they typically start you at? because i was making 21/hr with $50 per diem and never got a paycheck over 3,000. but i'm sure everyone here just beat me to it anyway so it probably doesn't matter, hah.

I am not sure what I am allowed to do. I don't want to look like I am recruiting. But I do think ice queens $3400 was gross for 2 weeks. Not net. But did not include per diem.
If you want more info pm me. I don't want to rock the boat here. They don't want any recruiting. I intend to comply.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and d o g Thank this. -
well she did say that's what she brought home, so that would be net. unless she's lying! haha, kidding. pm sent, thanks.

I have been away for a bit so I will try to answer everyone. The skin, I'll leave that one alone. Lol. No I do not get a paid per diem from sun coast. I never stayed in their hotel because of my 4 legged kid, and I didn't come here broke either. 14 per hour is for our yard control positions. I work in transport and I work nights. This position besides the higher ups makes the most per hour. We are super busy, which brings some regret to having just installed Qualcomm...no more freebe's. And recruiter: you have qualifications down right with 1 exception, no more than 3 minor tickets (speeding 1-10, seatbelt, illegal lane change) in the last 3 years or no more than 1 major ticket (wreckless driving, following too close, accidents) in the last 3 years. They just turned down a bunch of applicants over this.
Also, chibob, they do want recruiting. That's why they just gave us recruiting cards to give to prospects and also get our "recruiting" bonus. Maybe you should be in midland working for Sun Coast before you attest to how their operations, offerings, and paychecks are.
