if you give up that easy when trouble arises you will never make it in this industry, it don't matter if you are a company driver, lease OP, or independent you will have times that gate codes don't work or p/u number is wrong, or OS is not 9 ft but 12 ft. The deciding factor if you are a professional or temporary to the profession, is how you handle the situation. No we don't always get paid for waiting and this is not a 9 to 5 job. You are in the wrong for not finding a place to sit and wait, so deal with your mistake. It's not everyone's fault here on the forms because instead of powdering your back side and telling you, you was in the right. They told you the die hard truth and you want to call names and cry more. Just one big thought called grow up and be responsible for the decision's and mistakes you make.
And one last thought, when i see loads posted picking up late on a Sat. or on Sun. i have alot of ???????????????? for everyone involved.
Any flatbed o/ops

I appreciate your input. Nobody has given up anything so everything has worked out just fine. I appreciate the judgements too. It's an old post now but thanks again

I really hope you do appreciate the input you have been given, good and bad. It pays in the long run to listen to everyone and take it all in, decipher it and make a informed decision on whether or not, things could have been done differently. After all, it is only advise from those that care to give it. Old or not, this thread is a good thread for those that might make the same decision you made.. I pray all works out for you driver, I really do. God Bless
