I drive a lowbed. I disconnected the neck from the trailer and pulled away without disconnecting the air and electrical. .. just stupid. ..

Trusted that a dispatcher or a broker would do their job. Both dropped the ball.

Ahhmennn. I used to do that all the time since they turn those scale tickets into the state. Sometimes, thing happen to where you can't get to a legal weight, or your logbook says you were never there...lol.

Sun was low and bright in the windshield and at about 10 o'clock. Long shadow that was creating a "dark shadow area" at the rear of the trailer on the right side. Recently a 3rd lane was created from the right and I was in the middle lane. Rode their a while and decided to move into the right lane. A car I'm convinced must have been riding in that dark spot since the lane merge about 3/4 mile back but I guess I never registered his existence and position nor speed. I looked, signalled and began moving over slowly and was a bit over into the other lane, then looked again and then saw him. No harm but may have frightened the old man a little.

Bright sun light and creating shaded blind-spot areas will bite you sooner or later in a moment of less-then-maximum attention. Not a matter of if, a matter of when.

Dropped a loaded trailer in our yard which was soft groung (dirt and stone) on a Friday evening......

It rained over the weekend......me and my brother went sunday night to pickup the load....Well the legs sank so far down..You could not see the Sandshoes anymore

We both looked at each other confused..... How are we suppoed to gert under this?" I asked

Lets see if we can get the legs to crank down some more..(Now keep in mind folks..This was in 1991....The trailers we had were 1981 fruehauf spoke wheel 48' vans everything Rusty)

legs wont budge....Dropped the air in the suspension ..Nope....Not low enough.....So my Brother said..."Try bumping it from the kiddie corner maybe the trailer will pop up when you hit it"

I said "alright", In a tone only heard by a person who found his lost set of keys..I pulled up about 10 feet threw her in reverse came on nice and strong and..........................."THUMP"

at first I thought i "Got it".... But what i really "got" was a trailer sitting on its nose with collapsed Legs

I jumped outta the truck and my brother was just shaking his head.. I saids 'Awe Man" Now What?

My brother spotted a forklift in the yard Which belonged to a construction company who shared space with us.....

"Im going to get that forklift and try to raise the trailer up" my brother announced

I said......."Great idea" in a frightened state I was in

My brother drove the lift over by the trailer..Stuck the forks in under near where the legs stay helplessly folded over.......

I said "Alright,Raise it up"...........But with both of our dismay,The only thing that went up was the back of the Forklift.... I smirkingly could not keep a straight face

Now What? I eagerly asked my brother..........

    he replied "lets go home"

The next Morning we got a call at 8am by an angry boss wanted to know what happened

hey Robert E Born...I know your not with us anymore...But thanks for Understanding

Forgot to clip my bol to my clipboard, rolled down windows for better mirror visibility, and as I was backing into a hole a gust of wind caught the paper and blew it out of the truck into a vast expanse of white snow. Have you ever tried to find and chase down a mostly white sheet of paper in a windy & freshly snow-covered parking lot?

    I left a trainee in a rest area......remembered about 50 miles away...lol! Man,he was ticked off!
I did not like him anyway....he stayed on his cell phone every minute of the day.
He had a whole new attitude after that!
