I'm glad you have it under control. Congrats, and I trust your life is better for it.

    That said,

You have no business driving ANYTHING with a motor ever again. You're judgement is FAR too flawed.

I have no idea what the law is, but I would be very disappointed with this industry if someone with your record was allowed to drive in any type of professional manor.

OP, have you tried to have your records expunged ? I have seen it mentioned on here before. What state do you live in ? Maybe Google it.
Congrats on the 11 yrs. Hope all is changed now and you get a second chance. Keep us posted. I read on here there are some that will hire all sorts of people with different problems.
Check the " Search " on this site.
    Good luck !

Lots of peeps on here who have no idea about alcoholism OR the Program. Congratulations on the 11 years!

That being said, it IS going to be difficult to find someone to take you on, but I believe it IS doable. Trust in your HP.

What does alcoholism have to do with driving drunk? Which is the thing that will keep him from getting a driving job. Not alcoholism.
Suffering from alcoholism doesn't make you get drunk then cruise around in your car

Our society has reached a point where if you make a couple mistakes in life society wants you to be homeless or in jail the rest of your life and never give you a second chance. So an American with a DUI who has changed his life isn't given a second chance, society just throws him away because there are a million immigrants coming here every year to easily replace you. Sad but true.

He's going to find it much harder out in the application world than this site. We all have feelings about this case but like the previous poster stated "We have no idea who will hire him". But it's safe to say that management will care less on what he says he's done over what is recorded. If management did all it's hiring on feelings companies would come and go a lot faster than they do now. If you went to prison for robbing a bank it's safe to say you're not going to be hired as a bank teller.
