If he would relapse after a few e-strangers heckled him, there's no way he'd stay sober behind the wheel of a truck.

    Real talk.

He did get a second chance, and a third, and a fourth. And he still got the 5th DWI

Im all for 2nd chances. Everyone makes mistakes. The fact that he even has a regular licence is testimony to that you can keep making mistakes and DMV will keep giving you chances. But sometimes the consequences of our actions set forth our future. Maybe he will get a job driving... but it's a slim chance.
Become an addictions counceler, or in outreach,or work in a half way house. Maybe your rewards lies in another path......
I'm truly happy and grateful you are sober.

The state of Ohio doesnt expunge any DUI's. The reason i dont have any felonies for these is how they were spaced out and the 5th shouldve been but under agreement if i completed a alcohol rehab they would bust it down to a misdemeanor.

Thank you everyone for answering. Believe me i know that my past was an idiot test i failed over and over. I had a horrible addiction and shouldve done alot more time in prison then i did. By the grace of God i didnt kill anyone and was given the opportunity to salvage my life and i took it.

Yeah okay, I know a guy who is trying that but not sure what state. We are living and working in Korea and he is wanting to go back to the USA. I am not sure if he is still trying to expunge his but if I see him I will post something on here about any info I get.

How is that so? A person can't be tried for something they have already been tried for. If he got in a bad accident and was found to have any trace of alcohol in his system then yes the past would come to light. If no alcohol is found then the past can't be used to prove any guilt or why the carrier or driver is any more responsible

I'll take a different approach than everyone else. My knees are shot and I blame it on trucking though I have built many houses in the past. A truck clutch is nothing like a car clutch. They are stiff and just guessing probably require about 50 lbs of force. That doesn't seem like much for a leg but when you get stuck in traffic and inch here and inch there it does take a toll on your knees. Not to mention your leg circulation being reduced from sitting all day and bouncing up and down in the air ride seat.

So you see in more ways than one trucking is not a good choice. Consider going to trade school for an easier job. Trucking isn't your only choice. Venture on your own and start your own construction crew of specialty. There is plenty of sub work or you can be the boss finding the work while your crew does it.

If you are dead set on trucking you just have to flood the market with applications. Most will reject you but there is always that one that will give you a chance. I would think 11 years is enough to prove you have changed your ways.
