Swift driving school

    Why do you go to the school, get your liscense and when you get back to your home state they want you to change it in 30 days???? In Calif to do so requires to do everything -- driving, skills,paper test.

    Why not just stay and get it first here??? Just wondering what the thought process is for this.

    No you actually get your cdl in Arizona but they make you change it over when you get home???? CDL is good across the USA right. You cant just have a mailing address?

    Why not just get your permit in ca (assuming thats where youre from) first before you go to swift?

    I have my permit here in Ca. but testing in a truck is the issue. So I called Swift Academy and they told me I will get Az liscence but need to change it over? I don't plan on staying in Ca but will look for a studio apt when I am hired by a company

    I will be leaving for Swift Academy in AZ soon and I want to know from you guys what I should expect while I'm there. I just stumbled onto this forum this afternoon and I started reading the posts. This was very helpful to me and most of my questions were answered. I know I should be asking my recruiter questions on what to expect but I would rather hear from you guys. I am from CA and my recruiter said that I'll be based in Fontana after my training/mentorship. I have read another post saying this guy has been sitting around for 2 weeks waiting for a mentor. Is it hard to get a mentor from Fontana? Thanks in advanced.

    There is no problem getting mentors but there has been a back log because of the holidays. There is one mentor I would totally recommend as he is amazing I just have to see if he is still doing it. In fact I should do a post on swift forum here about people you should get hooked up with that are amazing in swift like the Recruiter Melody Gonzalez ... wow that girl is amazing she will totally take care of you from start to finesh.
