So, I'm still confused, sorry I'm dumb. I have over a million miles since I started in 04. No at fault accidents, but I have 2 not at fault, where i was hit by 2 other vehicles. Am I still considered to have a million accident free miles, because the 2 weren't my fault and I wasn't cited for anything, or do I have to start from the last accident and pray to god no one hits me again. The first was a lady that was speeding and hydroplaned her car on wet roads and crossed 2 lanes to hit my trailer. The other was a motorcyclist that came off an on-ramp and crossed 2 lanes and hit my second trailer of set of turn pike doubles I was hauling.

No soup for you. Gotta start all over driver. You should be able to avoid those donchaknow. Of course you can lower your standards and call yourself a million miler without an AT FAULT or CHARGABLE accident.

If it makes you feel any better, you are kinda like me. So far I have avoided getting charged knock wood.

To the OP. I worked with a few million and two million accident free and spill free drivers and it was in the city driving. Try driving a 85 foot tanker around the city to gas stations all day long. That's why I laugh when a company dismisses in city driving as experience. I've done them both and it's much harder in the city. BTW. I have a safe driving record all the way up to my retirement. I was in one accident where a vehicle hit my trailer. My company had the smarts enough to know I had nothing to do with the accident. Companies that claim all accidents are preventable just have their heads where the sun doesn't shine. After you get a year or two with a clean record you should look out for companies like that. Your skills are better than money hungry no knowledge cheap companies.

I have been an Entertainer Coach Driver since 1986 and have driven 3,000,000 miles accident free and only have recieved 1 speeding ticket back in 1990 in Ellsworth Kansas!! I have spent an average of 300 days per year on the road traveling the 48 states and Canada as well as Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. The majority of this time I have pulled a trailer varieing in length from 16' to 32' in length. It can be done with patience and care,As I have done it. I was taught by the oldtimers how to drive and I learned well!!! I am the private coach you get mad at and speed around in the truckstop for going slow,Because I have human lives on board and they could be doing about anything and the last thing I need to do is throw one of them down and injure them.Driving requires,Attention,Skill,Care and is not for the absent minded!!! When you are moving around in something that weighs 80,000 pounds you have no choice but to be attentive and careful!!! There is really no excuse for you hitting something!!! I understand if someone hits you and you cant avoid it you have no control!!! But it can be done !!!!

I have more respect for a guy that learns from somebody else's mistake than his own, that said, I'm pretty dumb and usually have to learn things the hard way. My old man used to smack my hand every time I scratched a gear, I don't grind much anymore. He also used to tell me "if you can't turn 800 a day your not a truck driver" and at the time I believed it. I spent a lot of my time doing some dumb stuff, anymore if I'm not driving this truck to suit you I'll bring it back to the yard and you can have it. I've got enough experience I can go anywhere do anything trucking wise.

What was the old saying?.......... "1,000 miles a day is the only way"

I wonder if these kids nowadays could safely do that without killing themselves..They should,Considering the Cadillac of truck they have now.
