Be honest

The driver at fulton/indus, atl,ga did not when he got dropped off and jumped in fired up, his trailer rolled off logs slid under axels after the super/singles were taken fri. night.

 

I do about 80% full every day... do a full inspection of the truck every time I get fuel... I check my tires, listen for air leaks, use sense of smell for burning oil or electrical all the time.. I check my oil daily, water the same.. brakes I visually check them often... and look for signs of seeping wheel seals all the time..... and every time I drop and hook I go over everything.(except for checking oil and water in truck).. I kick the tires, and gauge them if they sound low..(yes you can tell if they are low by sound)... Been out here along time and it is faster and cheaper to check things before I get rolling, or I really mess something up...

and every time I go in a truckstop receiver or rest area(anytime I am away from the truck) I am looking under it for puddles... So do pee by my truck.... I might stick my hand in it is around water sources... (never done that by the way)

 

Any one who says they crawl underneath the truck on the oily piss-soaked pavement to check brake stroke everyday is a liar and ill call them one to their face.

 

I've don't a lot of them with a pen..

nowadays I pull the dipstick everyday, and check water kick tires and lights amd roll on. I'm not getting under nieth mine everyday we got mechanics for that. I will check my brake shoes when I pull out from under a trailer.

 

Most drivers don't know how to check brake stroke.. When I check mine I do it on a creeper.. that is on the cat walk..

 

I'm pleading the 5th!!

 

specially on winter time it's snowing nd cold they just start the truck up nd leave saying that don't pretrip it one day aint gonna kill me

 

About the same here...always checking. I see guys hook to trailers and never make it past the crank.

 

I check:

oil and coolant level

any obvious leaks

all lights

all tires

tug test

trailer brake test

That's it.
