While waiting to get fuel a driver pulled up Almost took off my steer tire and among other things yesterday. come to find out he was a rookie of 3months just got assigned a truck after a 6wk training program with a company I shall not name. my truck had to be towed away im sitting in hotel not making no money except breakdown pay which is pennies to what I can make. after a conversation with driver this is his second incident/accident he just jack knifed in NB couple weeks ago he say he hit his brakes on a iced over pass now yesterday he ran over me. he could not have watched his mirrors and I know for a fact he did not swing out enough so he would not hit me in my lane. I am uploading pictures of they will show. my steer tire is parallel under my truck. I cant upload all pictures to show the rest of damage because it has the trucking company name on it. 2 bolts come off my fuel tank the tow driver had to make sure it would not fall off, my mirror was pressed up against door and would not move, etc. this guy was moving to fast in to the fuel island. I JUST APRECIATE ALL THE DRIVERS THAT HELPED ME AND WAS CONCERENED THAT I WAS OK!!! I really saw first hand the trucking community sticks together when it matters. the gas station I was at was cruel to me because I was holding up their fuel island. its funny now I had a driver to defend me to the manager. and they wasn't pleasant words. the manger went inside after that and never came back out to bother me again. the driver told me he took care of that @#$hole for me. and the one female driver that stayed around helping me by giving a witness statement to where the officer said that it would be the other driver fault. she made sure if I had any problems she gave me her name and number to give to my company if they want to talk to her. I know everyone that helped me just like me had a load to deliver. but they didn't seem to mind to help. one driver took my accident camera they give and took all the pictures for me, another helped me get all the glass and pieces of my truck out fuel lane, then the female driver took control of everything told everybody what to do and how including me. I didn't mind because I never really been in a accident before. I just hope if any rookie drivers is looking at this or reading this. my advice is WATCH YOUR MIRRORS!!!!!!

Sorry to see this, but stuff happens. Anyway, some advice: Try not to set yourself up to get hit, example, parking on an end spot in a truck stop where trucks turn to get out. That's a better chance to get hit. Same with stopping on a shoulder of the interstate.

That'll buff right out

Seriously, sorry you had that happen. The good news is: it looks like a new spindle and an alignment and you'll be up and running again. Maybe a tire and wheel if they're damaged. Bodywork could be another issue however.
Must've been at a Love's. They're about the only places I see where you have to make a tight turn to enter the fuel islands like that.379exhd Thanks this. -
