DO any of you run bypass filters? I am looking at getting one and interested in one in particular that took your crank case vent back into and filter it out but I have lost my information and the last hour on google wasn't helpful. Do any of you have experience with such a filter?

PP sells a crankcase vent catch tank. I built a similar one in the past but neither put it back into the engine.
I do run a bypass filter system. I'm thinking it was made by filterKleen. Really keeps the soot out of the engine. -
I think you might be confused on the names. A bypass filter is used on the oil that filters down to a smaller micron than the normal filter, but only a fraction of the oil flow goes through this bypass. If you are looking for a oil catch can for the crank case vent then like Flightline said, PP sells a crankcase "filter" setup. But you can build your own pretty easily or look in Jegs or Summit parts catalogs for crankcase catch cans.

I seen this one at ooida truck show in Kck and it took the crank case vent and filtered it somehow and routed the vapor to your intake.

How hard was it to make? I assume not very hard just need some PVC
-
Did the crankcase vent catch tank reduce a lot of oil build up under the truck? My detriot slings lots of oil -
Yes I made mine out of 4"PVC and couple Pvc's tees and end caps. The tee had 2"side going up to intake and exhaust. Then I line it with a soft gutter sponge. Couple of hanging brackets from oil pan bolts. I also painted it so it wouldn't look like white sewage line.
I left it off, when I put my motor back together this last week after a rebuild since I should have no more serious blowby. -
Do you happen to have a picture?
-
I think it's laying in my garage somewhere, I wish I was better about getting pictures. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. Difinitely nothing fancy.
I had approx. $12 in parts -
Thank you. Have you ever relocated your stacks or breathers yet to compare mpg?
