I can smell smoke smell. But was only stating that I didn't have a big problem with it, after I used Frebreeze. Just stating my experiences, nothing more.
Companies that allow idling or pay for idle air?

I agree. If the device filters cigarette smoke from one truck, if/when a smokeless driver uses the same device (and it's likely only a matter of time), then the smokeless driver is likely going to have a cab smelling of cigarette smoke.
Yeah, that would deter me from using them. From a cost standpoint, I'll pay the extra $2/hours (if even that) to have my cab not smell of cigarettes.
Although, I'd still look into it, talk to the Idle Aire person in charge. They should, but probably don't, have non-smoking units. -
I'm hearing you on Frebreeze. That's some pretty good stuff, but cigarette smoke has a way of getting into upholstery, the dash, the air vents (although not applicable in this case) and not coming out.
But, yeah. That Frebreeze, most of the time, does the trick. -
The immediate savings is about $2. When you figure in the extra wear and tear on the engine, AC compressor, alternator, idler pulley bearings, etc etc the cost climbs a lot of more. -
It would be a matter of the company, USF GM paying for it. I don't know if they will have the option of paying for IdleAire or allowing me to run the truck. If I was given the option I would rather run the truck cause I like the noise to help me sleep. But at the same time, I do hate wasting fuel or not trying to do what I can to help save fuel. I start with them tomorrow, so I will know more about it then.
