New Safety Rule for my company

we have a no cell phone policy then next came no cb radio policy then they installed drive cams to watch..caught on phone fired on spot,,no questions asked

 

I absolutely refuse to work for any company that puts a.camera in my truck to spy on me...

I am a grown man and will not be disrespected in that manner....

 

Well the only thing I can say is,

A superior driver,
uses his/her superior judgement,
to stay out of situations that require his/her superior skills.

 

not going to happen I live in the truck 5+ days a week not putting a cam taking my phone or CB. I use the phone very little a few min here and there to keep up with family and friends ( oh yeah dispatch) I always tell them I have to go before I hit a high traffic area, bad weather or other situations it not safe had my wife one many times when she asked if I was listening several time it because I have let her talk while I sent my attention went to the traffic that appeared around me. It may just be me I fell that many times I watch mirrors and other stuff closer when on the phone. Don't mean its so just that it seems that way to me.
To me a CB is essential I want to hear about road conditions problems that may come up with a load not all the time can I see all straps taller wider products in front of shorter narrower products tarps bellow out every now and then. finding out something is wrong in between load checks can save lives. and its a great way to pass time when you find a driver worth talking to.

 

I like the CB for what it is actually supposed to be used for. It should be used for, bear reports, traffic, weather, light out, load shift, strap loose, etc. It seems people enjoy singing on it, playign their radio over it and just about annoying everyone around for no reason way to much. So we turn it off and thus cant talk to the guy that has a problem and doesnt know it.

 

I leave mine on turn down my rf turn up my squelch so only the closest one can get though when they get on my nerves but its always on so the closest ones can still talk to me

and you are still driving for them?

 

at that point or actually before,you should go drive for a trucking company.you have 2 years experience so you can drive for most any outfit. why tolerate that form of shackle? maybe AMX will rethink that position after the good drivers move on-
