I am going to take this opportunity to call BS. DOT rules allow a team to never shut off truck until 70hr weekly clock is depleted. That never ever happens at Stevens. Are there crappy trainers out there? Yes. But, Joe your posts I suspect are mearly Troll posts disguised as informative. Some of what you say is true but most of it is way wrong.

This is the pain in the rear part. you get a full class a cdl if you pass the final tests which are not too hard if you actually worked at learning to drive and did not screw around. The problem is Colorado does not issue you the permanent copy on the spot and mails it to your house. your temp paper cdl expires usally before you get to the house. I had mine mailed to Stevens which the copied and faxed an image of it to me. i don't have a clue how legal that is. When I got back to the yard I was able to pick it up. if you can you might look into waiting a few weeks before shipping out to get the permanent cdl.

Agreed. Share your experience not just the opinions of someone else. I know everyone's experience has been different but I think a lot of it has to do with the trainers. To be blunt there is a serious shortage of trainers at Stevens and I can understand why. They don't get paid enough to deal with a total stranger for 5 or more weeks. So I don't think the trainers get vetted like they should and sub-par trainers are allowed to continue. The really aweful ones do get eliminated. My first trainer fell into the sub-par category. He cared about his students but he had a short temper and little patients. My second finish trainer Robert 2121 was freaking amazing. I can't say enough good things about him. In the end like many things Stevens is whay you make of it. Follow the rules, don't let office personelle take advantage of you and keep a positive attitude and you can go far.
