When I started school last month I thought I would get started in flatbed knowing that that type of driving keeps you on your toes which I would prefer, But being in the construction world for the last two decades and taking time away from busting ### for two months really felt good to slow it down and not stress over work and where its going to come from week to week. I liked being outside in the elements. Then half way through school I started thinking about being wet when its raining out and being hot when its hot out so on and so on. I feel im in great shape to handle it but really man, being wet and cold tarping loads doesn't look like fun to me. More power to those who do it! OTR I wasn't sure about but what the hey, get my foot in the door and do some sight seeing.
Highest paying company for regional/otr for RECENT GRADS???

WOW! Well, I went to school in Jville at Miller Motte and Schneider is affiliated with them. They responded to my application the quickest and I liked what I saw about their training program.

Ummm......yes. And you don't really have to bust it all that hard if you can get on with the right company.

Millis got you chasing that carrot, don't they?!

Why don't they just pay .42 cpm to begin with (and get rid of those stupid cameras)? They might be able to retain more drivers. -
My apologies.. Read too fast there!SippingDiesel Thanks this.

so how do you find the right company? Looks like everyone I look at is starting around .31-.33 per mile. Thats exactly what my instructor said too, most big companies start around the same. He said you gotta find a small fleet with older trucks but how the f do i do that?
