I talked a trainee out of buying the Rand McNally atlas today...

I'm not sure, but I thought the RM gps has the info built in by state for low bridges, low clearance, just like the book; or it may give the corresponding info. Husband isn't where I can check his for this, but I believe I noticed it one time updating his.

 

The gps does have all that built in. Low bridges, weight limits etc. one thing I really like is it has a phone number for every business in the GPS like truckstops or walmarts so I can call ahead to make sure they allow parking or if they are full before I pull in and waste time looking.

 

The phone number built in would be a feature I would like.

 

It's very handy. I use it a lot.

 

CT, I don't understand your post. I have always found your posts to be helpful in a positive way. I often don't thank you enough.

I have the 2013 RM I got in Sept 2012 for $34.99 where the RM (printed on back) price is $79.95. Maybe I'm missing the 'shoplifting security tag' point. I got it at the Seven Feathers off I-5 in Or.
