Schizo, thanks for the 411 on that! I'm not worried about a criminal background check as I have no criminal background other than the those items on my driving record.
I'll keep searching carriers and try to get some letters and go from there.

No problem! What companies are you looking into, so far? Also, what are you thinking along the lines of divisions (ie. reefer, dry van, tanker, flatbed, etc)?
-
I just want to point out to anyone from St. Louis, that no matter what the replay shows, if the first base umpire makes the call, that is it. The Royals beat you in 1985 and they will do it the next time we meet you in the Series.
And it is pronounced Ma Zur A not Ma zur E. -
Schizo- I was thinking reefer or dry bed, but I'm open to anything I can get and go from there and as far as carriers go so far I've just been looking into a few carriers that the cdl school has suggested, Hogan who dropped me because of my driving history and now I've contactt P.A.M.
Tomorrow I'm going to contact Trans Am and a few other I don't recall but have written down. -
Woody that's a good one! We all know it'll be a long time before the Royals make it that far haha!
Wooly Rhino Thanks this. -
That's great! If you're thinking on company-based training, I'd look into Prime Inc. The pay is good and I believe the training is as well. The only thing (some say it's good, most say it's bad) with Prime is the training with the trainer on his truck for an incredibly long time. They, also, pay you while you're at their school, but have to reimburse them back (this is the only thing they make you pay back). Look on there website. They have a lot of information about it!spotlock Thanks this.

I filled out an online app with Werner yesterday and told them about my driving history from 14 years ago and today they called me. I talked with the recruiter for quite a while and explained everthing to him, he seemed pretty positive about everything and said he'll get back to me today.
Not sure if he was just blowing smoke but fingers crossed and we'll see what happens, and in the mean time i'm going to keep contacting carriers. -
I answered on his other thread. Same suggestion as "tow614."
Swift is another option to try.HauntedSchizo19 Thanks this. -
I guess this is probably one of those questions/statement that I can throw my 2cents into as well.
I'm a former deputy of 13 yrs in GA. It's not has much as the DUI's that kicks ##### as much as the refusal. Here in our state a DUI isn't necessary gonna effect your driving record as you can get that in some cases expunged or at least a disposition on the 1. However a refusal as a good as a felony in the eyes of some plus not only do you have 3 DUI's but also suspensions, that's where I can see the problem lies. So I would have to agree that it's gonna be hard to find a legit company to drive for. You can I believe obtain a CDL on your own but then you will lack a cert from a school or the experience of OTR, which is where I am in my journey........spotlock Thanks this. -
Thanks Maybrey, I know it's going to be dificult and i'm pressing on with trying. I've had what I thought seemed to be a couple of conversations today with some recruiters from a couple of carriers and I'm still waitng to hear back from them.
Also unfortunately here in Missouri there is no legal path to getting DUI'S or refusals expunged from a driving record, those are permanent marks on the Missouri driving record.
