Just wondering how many of you make the decision to have the dealership make the diff locks stay on regardless of speed instead of
turning off after 40km. In other words, if I want to keep them engaged I can.

Yep, that's the way to go. Just have to make sure the driver unlocks before a corner...

Ours are completely manual on our Western Stars. There is no speed thingy.

Does anyone know how to bypass this, I have an 08 389 Pete and mine go off as soon as I go to high range?

If it is anything like our Internationals it is a computer setting the dealer (or anyone with the manufacturer's software) can modify. This would likely be the case with any truck with electronically controlled options.

Its an air line attached to your transmission.
So I went back to my work orders on my Petes to see if they had a detailed report.
    It just has "bypass difflocks".
I spoke with the regional rep two days ago to ask if this voided the warranty as my dealership wont do this with my
trucks anymore citing voiding my warranty.
Brian Shilling from Road Ranger stated no. He said he could tell if somebody was clutzy (is that how you spell Clutzy?)
enough to leave them on that you would see the gears worn on one side.
Apparently, Peterbilt is not allowing customers to request this any more...

So if I read this correctly the difflocks unlock when you shift to hi range?? Is that just the cross locks or does the interaxle unlock too?

Leaving diff locks in all the time is a good way to snap an axle while loaded. If you mean the power divider lock, then that's another story. I will run that all day in icy weather if need be.
