Super the flatbed guys I THINK have it a little better. The flatbed trailers seem to only be two years old or less. They seem to stick around longer. I know most of them are out for at least two weeks at a time though
superpet39 Thanks this. -
Any new updates cam?

Well so far this week I have actually been able to get 1950 miles so far and they've got me scheduled for another 700 through Saturday when hopefully I'll get to go home. Never got over 1700 in a whole week before so I may actually get a paycheck! This week I haven't had any major trailer issues, couple of lights I had to get fixed but nothing major. I'll get my paystub email in an hour or two and I'll let you know if it's a positive one or another $0.00 after six days in their truck

My bunk heater stopped working last week and my roof still leaks and my PM is over 20k miles overdue still but nobody except me seems to really care. But so far this week no major complaints, getting good miles this week. Last week every load I had was live on both ends and short like 250 miles each including one Long Island run. This week about 50% live and 50% drop n hook. Any more questions just let me know

Cam:
Cant remember if you described your "training" or not, if not- how was it? did you get anything out of it?
i read this thread, i just meant specifically -
I didn't get any training other then the 2.5 day orientation. In orientation they go give you a crash corse on the qualcom, some DOT rules and regulation review and some time spent on company policy. My instructor for orientation was actually the only non driver Ive met so far that seemed to want to make things better. During the orientation the hotel breakfast is free and they get you a box lunch off the roach coach.
At the end of orientation they give the non students a road test. I scored 100% on my road test so I didn't have to go out with a trainer. In my class I think like 7 out of 10 non students got sent out with a trainer for one reason or another though. If they think you need training they'll give you eval level 1,2,3 or 4 meaning 1,2,3or 4 weeks with a trainer to evaluate you before they give you a truck. Some guys that never used the electronic logs/qualcom before got sent out with a trainer to be shown how to use the e logs. I have yet to meet one person whom was put out with a trainer that has said the trainer taught them anything, most say they just used them for the miles
