worst part of a trucking career?

having trucking as a career.you voluntarily subject yourself to whatever it is that you accept to do.I'll never go to NYC and never have.I'll never go to california again and have not since 1993.

in summary, trucking is exactly that which you choose it to be.

Because taking out the loan comparable to buying a house, with currently questionable engines is any smarter?

There are drivers who did it precisely the way that kid was asking about getting started that have built something for themselves.

    Worst part?

The 'bad days' usually tend to be BAD DAYS!!!

Then, when you think you've had a bad day, don't worry, there'll be a worse day to come!

I don't care what he does. He is not my employer and will never be my employer. Good for him on future adventures. Shut the door and go home 365 times a year.. Happy with a 5 figure income :biggrin_25523:

25 year old college grads ( like my supervisor) that apparently know more than me, also a college graduate, over abrasive, with no understanding what we go through and who thinks that doing a double drop and hook takes ten minutes. Right.

Yep, that's why I got of IT. They just don't understand that just because they watched a software demo and picked up the concept in 10 minutes, doesn't mean the staff thats been using a product for 5 years can be swapped over in a day. not to mention the product might not work so well with dirty (real) data in it.

Think yours are bad? just try getting a 20 something to understand there are NON technical issues to consider with technology.
