Your reading comprehension sucks. I clearly stated the little guide is appropriate to have for quick reference while driving. One can argue those books are just as distracting. Yet they are legal.

If I was driving in the areas where the driver in question was, I'd already have them listed on paper, or programmed in my gps. Not just the truckstops, but rest areas, and walmarts that allow parking.

Meanwhile you are balancing that stupid outdated book national directory on your steering wheel. Then reaching for the Walmart book, then the map book. See how easy it is for me to speculate, you've had a lot if practice doing it around here making excuses for things that happen at Prime.

Why would I risk my job using my phone?

One can argue either way on the merits of both methods. However, whenever ANYONE around here points out you are wrong, the great and knowledgeable Ironpony, you continue to mouth off and make excuses to distract. You have to comment, it's a compulsion for you whether you know or don't know.

I go back to your original claim that you can't use these apps without cell service (irregardless if you are driving or not) and again you are wrong.

My "reading comprehension is fine," but lets discuss arrogance... as in not only the tone of every post you've made here as either U... err we won't mention him, but also as Chuckie, and your arrogant assumption that even you know what is actually being discussed. The person asking the question was inquiring about off-interstate stops. Your insistance that the only reference one needs is the pocket truck stop guide is flawed... it's good within a few miles of the interstates with a very few exceptions, such as the "almost interstates." US23 and US131 in Michigan are examples. Otherwise, once you get 3 miles away from the interstates it isn't even a good excuse for toilet paper.

As for your insistence that an "app" on an electronic device that can fail, be lost, not be sufficiently charged... when you need it the most, well, hope you don't loose your phone, drop it, have the charger short-out, etc, etc...

When I need to know where a truck stop is I just call IP and ask him. :biggrin_2552: He's my instant APP and he is legal in most states :biggrin_2551: When he doesn't know, I just look my route up on my handy dandy GPS and it tells me about every darned truck stop between here and Missoula, except the brand new Flying J in Odessa TX which is a stones throw away from my 90 today.

PS - You two should come down to the river with me this summer, drink a fifth of George Dickel Sour Mash and just rip each other apart. After the hangover you would probably be best of friends. BTW, the river is awesome in the summer :biggrin_25520:

Back in SpriMo getting ready to test out. Switching over to reefer for PSD/the forseeable future. I decided I'd have to be an idiot to pass up on that lightweight cash. It is a little frightening seeing all those wrecked LW's at prime east, though....

Now why in the world would I want to get involved in somethin' like that? U... err Chuckie is one of the best drivers on the company side, a wealth of knowledge, a reasonably good guy whose buttons are easy to push. Just because I enjoy the torment I throw his way isn't any reason to resort to drunken violence! Although if SE is buyin' I'll do my part to kill off the libations!!!
